UDHAMPUR, July 8: Up in arms against no supply of drinking water for the last several day, locals of village Farna today protested against PHE department.
They lamented that because of no supply of drinking water, the villagers were totally dependent on the natural sources and drink water mixed with grubby and mud due to which small kids and elderly persons were getting affected with intestinal problem.
“We repeatedly informed the higher authorities about the situation but there has been no action with the result that there is no option other than to drink contaminated water,” they added.
Similar protest against the PHE authorities was organized by the locals of Ward number 13, 8, 9, who alleged that due to callous approach of the concerned department, people of the area were suffering and their normal life was getting badly affected.
