DODA, Sept 23: The village from Tanta area of tehsil Kahara held protest against the PMGSY Department for using substandard material for blacktopping of newly constructed road from Kahara to Tanta in Sub District Thathri.
The protestors raised slogans against the PMGSY Department and appealed to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to hold high level inquiry into the matter and punish the culprits.
They alleged that highly sub standard material has been used by the concerned contractor for blacktopping of the road.
The PMGSY Department officials failed to keep check on the contractor who has used very low quality material and the blacktopping has also been damaged within days.
The locals demanded probe into the matter.
