RAJOURI, Sept 14: The police today recovered the dead body of a middle-aged man hanging from the branch of a tree in forest area of Thannamandi Sub Division this afternoon.
The deceased was later identified as 45-yerar-old Lal Hussain, son of Hyat Mohammed, resident of Karyot village in Thannamandi. A villager from Karyot noticed the body hanging from a tree in the nearby forest and informed the other people of the area and also to the family.
They then informed Thannamandi police about the matter. The police party led by SHO reached the spot and then shifted it to Thannamandi hospital for postmortem. It was later handed over to the family for last rites. The police has started investigation into the case under Section 174 CrPC. The family said that Hussain was mentally disturbed and went missing last night. They were looking for him.
