POONCH, Oct 19: A 43-years-old person was severly injured when a bear attacked him at Arai village of Mandi Tehsil in district Poonch today.
Family members of the victim said that Bashir went out of his house to wash face before offering prayer, early in the morning. Then suddenly a bear attacked him causuing serious injuries on face and arms. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Mandi for treatment.
Identified as Mohd Bashir, son of Mohammad, resident of Arai village in Mandi, the doctors at Mandi hospital referred him to District Hospital Poonch after initial treatment.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch, Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that he was severely injured and requires advance treatment for which injured was being referred to GMC Rajouri.
