JAMMU, Dec 11: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continued to garner immense enthusiasm in various districts across Jammu and Kashmir, fuelled by the clarion call for a Developed India from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Expanding its reach, the Yatra reached Panchayat Chajjwal in Block Samba, where Additional Chief Secretary Shaleen Kabra inaugurated two Water Supply Schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The event featured stalls showcasing departmental achievements and services, with a cultural program by government school students.
In Kathua District, the yatra has left indelible footprints in the Border Block Marheen and Hilly Blocks Duggain and Bani.
Today, the yatra received an overwhelming response of the locals, who actively participated in a range of engaging and impactful activities. The highlight of the yatra was the special messenger Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign Van which traversed the Panchayats of the Border and Hilly blocks. The van served as a central hub for a multitude of engaging activities that captivated the attention of the locals throughout the day-long events.
The ground breaking demonstration of Drone technology for agricultural innovation held during Viksit Bharat Yatra greatly inspired stakeholders across 56 Panchayats of Reasi District.
The Department of Agriculture Reasi took the lead in educating and fascinating the attendees, including students and locals, about the incredible potential of drones in transforming the agriculture sector.
The primary focus of the demonstrations was to illuminate the numerous applications of drones in agriculture, highlighting their role in precision farming, crop monitoring, and resource optimization.
Spectators were treated to firsthand experiences of how these technological marvels can significantly enhance farming practices, leading to increased efficiency and productivity.
In Udhampur District, the 16th day of the flagship outreach campaign saw Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai overseeing activities in 12 Panchayats. Cultural performances and active community engagement marked the day, emphasizing the impactful presence of the event in the District.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), which started on November 28, has reached 93 Panchayats of Ramban District, leaving indelible footprints for realizing the goal of inclusive development through Government schemes.
Today, the yatra unfurled across 3 Panchayats in block Ukhral and Batote of the district.
The Yatra witnessed active participation from local residents, and saw an incredible display of cultural enthusiasm and fervor.
Moving to Rajouri District, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continued its transformative mission, ensuring comprehensive coverage of Government schemes to uplift residents’ lives. The visionary initiative aimed at achieving remarkable saturation of various programs, catalyzing community empowerment and lasting progress.
In Block Bhagwah, District Doda, the Yatra camp targeted the saturation of flagship Government schemes, receiving a warm welcome from BDC councillors, PRI members, frontline workers, and the public. The event commenced with the Viksit Bharat Pledge, underlining the commitment to the cause.
The initiation of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in two Panchayats of Block Mughal Maidan in District Kishtwar witnessed an enthusiastic welcome today. The IEC Van traversed through Panchayat Sigdi B2 and Rahalthal of the block, screening the PM’s message regarding the impact of Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
Local residents, PRIs, and prominent personalities of the area marked their presence in support of the awareness program under VBSY.
In District Pulwama, the Yatra reached its triumphant 17th day, covering 10 Panchayats and setting the stage for its ambitious mission to encompass all 190 Panchayats. The initiative, designed to bring the Government closer to the people, emphasized the saturation of schemes, fostering a direct connection between citizens and governance.
Agriculture Department Kashmir organized a grand event in Srinagar under the theme of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, attended by Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal, and other senior officers. The event aimed at reaching the last farmer and covering the uncovered under centrally sponsored schemes.
Furthermore, educational institutions like Sri Pratap College in Srinagar and Government Degree College in Baramulla actively participated in the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative, aligning with the nationwide call for comprehensive development. The programs included interactive sessions and online webcasts, demonstrating a unified effort toward the shared cause of national development.
The inaugural week of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra VBSY) in District Anantnag unfolded as a remarkable testament to the collective spirit of over 81000 participants across 168 Gram Panchayats in District.
Spanning eight blocks, including areas with a substantial tribal population, the Yatra became a vibrant tapestry of empowerment and engagement towards a shared vision of national development.
