Vikramaditya asks workers to gear up for elections

UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: Former MLC and senior Congress leader, Vikramaditya Singh has aksed the party workers to gear up their activities in view of coming elections.
Addressing party workers/ delegates as a part of an awareness program of the party at Ramnagar today, former MLC spoke about the failures of the BJP-PDP Government in the State and highlighted how they failed to meet the poll promises of 2014 and expectations of the public.
Vikramaditya said that the Congress stood for uniting the people of our country across religious and ethnic lines while the State BJP was playing a divisive role and politics of polarization. He appealed the workers to gear up for elections and gather support for the party at all levels.
He also talked about the benefits of registering with the recently launched ‘Shakti Project” by AICC that would create a direct link between voters and the Congress president and eliminate barriers that stand in between.
Various speakers congratulated the party president, Rahul Gandhi and his team for recent election victories in MP, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh and hoped that this trend will also be witnessed in J&K and some other States in next elections.
The local leaders referred to the pitiable condition of the road to Dudu- Basantgarh and the difficulties being faced by the people of this remote area. Also present at the meeting were District president, KC Bhagat, Navneet Thakur, Sanjeev Jandial, Joginder Bangallian, TD Thakur and Abhay Pratap.
