ANANTNAG, Nov 27: Vikram Khar and Pamposh Raina have been elected as president and general secretary respectively of the PM Package Employees Association (PMPEA) Revenue Department, Mattan district Anantnag.
Out of total 51 votes, 47 were polled for the post of president and 46 for the post of general secretary. Vikram Khar got 31 votes out of 47 votes polled and was elected as president, whereas Pamposh Raina got 29 votes out of 46 votes polled and was declared elected as general secretary.
Election Commissioner, package employees, Mattan Amit Koul declared them elected. They were elected for the tenure of three years.
Chairman Vinod Tickoo and president Ranjan Jotshi of PM Package Employees Association Mattan Anantnag were also present on the occasion.
They said it is hoped that Vikram Khar and Pamposh Raina will work for the betterment of the employees of the Revenue Department and get the issues of the employees redressed by taking up them with the concerned authorities.
