BANIHAL, Dec 7: Minister of State for Technical Education and Power, Vikar Rasool Wani has said that the coalition formation has ensured equitable development of all the regions of the state, adding that special attention has been given by the Govt to upgrade the basic facilities and the infrastructural capacities of various priority sectors like education, power, health, and PHE for the benefits of the people.
The Minister was addressing a public gathering at Tethar in Rambagh district after inaugurating 6.3 KVA receiving station.
Mr Vikar asked people to come forward and take benefits from the various centrally sponsored schemes which included MGNREGA, PMGSY, NRHM etc. He said that Govt is committed to provide all basic facilities to the rural people at their doorsteps.He said that new degree college would be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore soon and assured the people that the road from Tethar to Pikia area would be completed shortly.
The Minister also took stock of ongoing various developmental works coming up at Danar and Nowgam area. He directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of works for timely completion of the projects.
People met the Minister and presented their demands .The Minister assured them that their grievances would be addressed in a phased manner.
Later, the Minister reviewed the progress of the ongoing development works coming up in the constituency.The meeting was attended by SE STD Ramesh Chander, XEn S. Fatehpuri, AEE Sunil Pandoh, Tehsildar Banihal Dr Usman, and other various district and sectoral officers of the Ramban district.
