SRINAGAR, Oct 31: Vigilance Organization today presented challan against Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, the then Senior Assistant and Bashir Ahmed Wani, the then Junior Assistant in the office of Executive Engineer Mechanical Division LAWDA, before the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption, Srinagar for the commission of offences punishable under Prevention of Corruption Act.
The accused public servants had demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 5000 as illegal gratification from the complainant namely Mohammad Shafi Bhat, son of Abdul Gaffar Bhat of Umar Colony Lal Bazar, Srinagar for processing his (complainant’s) case of pay arrears and leave salary, who had retired from the same office in the year 2012 as Operator.
