Videographer arrested for violating DM’s order, drone seized

RAJOURI, July 9: Kalakote Police arrested a videographer for violating District Magistrate’s order and seized the drone.
As per police sources, reliable information was received at Police Station regarding flying of a drone at Potha near Kesar Gaala. On sighting the drone, a panic like situation was created in the AOR and people in the close vicinity of Potha area were scared.
Keeping present security scenario and ongoing Shri Amarnath yatra into consideration, a team from Police Station Kalakote led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by PSI Amit Radhay and PSI Anis Choudhry was constituted.
During investigation, it came to fore that a marriage party of son of Kulwant Singh of village Swari Tehsil Koteranka District Rajouri was going from Swari to Daali (Kalakote) and when it passed through Potha, the videographer namely Rahul Sharma, son of Sudesh Sharma of Lower Paloura District Jammu flew the drone there for taking shots and then moved on.
The constituted police team reached Daali after travelling on foot for around 2 hours and apprehended the erring videographer and seized the drone.
It is pertinent to mention here that the DM Rajouri has banned flying of drones in District Rajouri in June, 2021.
A case FIR Number 61/22 under section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Kalakote against the erring videographer and investigation started.
The whole issue was closely monitored by SDPO Nowshera Tussif Rishu and SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam Choudhary.
