‘Victory Flame’ reaches Leh

JAMMU, July 24: After travelling nearly 1000 kilometers from New Delhi, the `Kargil Victory Flame’ today reached Leh where it was welcomed by the top Army officials.
The flame was lit by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on July 14 from the `Eternal Flame’ at National War Memorial in New Delhi.
The Flame travelled through North India and reached Leh today.
It will now move from Leh to Drass on its final relay via Kargil,
The country is celebrating 20 years of ‘Operation Vijay’ in Kargil.
