RAJOURI, May 20: J&K BJP general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta while addressing a public gathering in Khawas, Rajouri today stated that the BJP cadre in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat will support a candidate that is aligned with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision for a New J&K.
Vibodh criticised political parties like PDP and NC for their dynastic politics, alleging they neglected the people, fostered corruption, and encouraged youth towards separatism. He emphasized the importance of defeating such elements to pave the way for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. He maintained that people’s popular support is with Apni Party’s candidate ZaffarManhas as voters have pledged to end the manipulative politics of NC and PDP leaders. “In this context, we will extend our support to Apni Party’s candidate Zaffar Manhas to defeat politics of corruption, dynastic politics and with the support of BJP, nothing can stop the bat (Apni Party Election Symbol) from winning,” he added.
Narendra Shivaji Patel, MoS for Public Health and Family Welfare, Madhya Pradesh, who is on tour to Jammu and Kashmir for election campaign in the Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat, stated that people are highly satisfied with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s policies and vision. He strongly asserted that people have vowed to vote against political parties like the National Conference and PDP to empower the BJP-led NDA at the Centre. Patel also appealed to the people to ensure the victory of nationalist forces in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat, while admonishing those who have supported anti-nationalist and separatist activities, which threaten the future of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, former Minister Abdul Ghani Kholi also asserted support for BJP like-minded political party and candidate over those of the National Conference and PDP in Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat. He accused these parties of perpetrating criminal injustice against the Gujjar-Bakerwals by not granting them their due when in power and framing policies which halted their progress and development.
Speaking on the occasion, senior BJP leader Dev Raj Sharma highlighted the various achievements of the Modi Government that have benefited and empowered people in the twin border districts of Rajouri-Poonch, while urging the people to support the Apni Party.
