Vibodh demands inquiry into Rajouri Hospital construction works

Rajouri, May 3: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today paid surprise visit to District Hospital where in he visited various wards and interacted with the patients.
The patients in various wards of the hospital complained about the poor condition of toilets of the newly constructed hospital.
Upon enquiry MLC was informed that all the bathrooms of the hospital are choked and are in a very bad condition. MLC was further informed that an amount of Rs. 40 Lakh is required to repair the hospital bathrooms and to make them functional.
It is worth mentioning here that this hospital has been recently constructed with a cost of Rs. 45 crores.
Later interacting with the media MLC informed that the poor condition of toilets of district hospital is a serious issue and cause of concern and he will take up this matter with higher authorities. MLC said that patients of the hospital deserve all the basic facilities and these must be provided to them.
MLC expressed his anguish over the poor quality and sub standard pipes used in the sanitary system of the hospital which has resulted in choking of all the toilets of hospital. He said that this matter calls for a serious action and demanded an enquiry commission headed by a senior official to look into this so that guilty can be punished under law.
During his tour,CMO Rajouri along with senior hospital management officials accompanied the MLC.
Also present on the occasion were the senior BJP leaders including Atam Gupta, Kamal Bakshi, Ranjeet Tara, Bashir Bhat, Hardesh Sharma and Kewal Sharma.
