VHP takes cognizance of Kashmiri Pandits plight

JAMMU, July 30: The J&K and Ladakh Shakha of the Apex Global organization of the Hindus , Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) is taking cognisance of the plight of the Hindu community of this erstwhile state, particularly that of the Valley.
In this connection the Shakha in presence of Leela Karan Sharma, J&K president VHP and it’s working president, Rajesh Gupta approached the various social activists of the community inviting them for a face to face meeting with the national general secretary of VHP Miland Prande and other office bearers and some of it’s prominent members here at Shakti Ashram.
Consequently, a delegation was formed by the social activists under the leadership of Padma Prof. KN Pandita .
It was conveyed to the delegation that VHP is very keen to help the KP community in addressing the various social, cultural and economic issues confronting it. The meeting was called to carve out a way forward in this regard and forge a strategy ahead. The issues in all these three areas were discussed at length and a lot of consensus arrived at. It was decided that the follow up review meetings would be conducted regularly and a program of action charted out as early as possible particularly regarding the deplorable conditions of various temples and Shrines and their proper management, control and upkeep, the very sad and unfortunate situation the PM package employees are facing, the unemployment and over aging of the burgeoning youth, the deterioration in the social and cultural matters, etc.
