VHP, SRS denounce separatists’ call over issuance of domicile certificate to WPRs

JAMMU, Dec 23: Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Shri Ram Sena (SRS) denounced the call given by Hurriyat and separatists from Kashmir valley protesting against the issuance of  domicile certificate to the West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs).
Addressing a press conference, State President, VHP, Leela Karan Sharma said that the move behind this protest is that Hurriyat and separatist wanted to Islamanise Jammu province also which is a stumbling block in their object.
Sharma warns the Government that the J&K is an integral part of India and every citizen has the right to settle anywhere in the country as a number of residents of J&K are settled throughout India without any protest why a reciprocity be not done in the case of J&K State.
The protest is being made only because the WPRs are Hindus and their permanent settlement will be contrary to their aim of Islamanisation of J&K State.
Sharma called upon the Government to identify all Bangladeshi and Burmies settled in J&K on or before March 31 and warns the Government to deport them and make a permanent solution for the settlement of the WPRs in J&K, failing which the people of Jammu will be forced to decide how all those persons settling in Jammu to change the demography of Jammu are thrown out of the Jammu and the responsibility will be on the State administration.
Shakti Dutt Sharma State Secretary, Rajesh Gupta State Vice President, Sudershan Khajuria, PRO VHP, Rakesh Sharma State Co-convener Bajrang Dal and Kartik Sudan were also present.
Meanwhile, Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir has grievously denounced the hue and cry raised by Kashmir separatists and some Kashmiri political leaders regarding providing identity cards to the WPRs.
In a press conference here today, SRS, State President Rajiv Mahajan said that these refugees from West Pakistan have been residing in Jammu for the last more than 70 years.
“It is now their third generation here and these people deserve domicile certificate of Jammu and Kashmir State. There is no problem to issue domicile certificate in their favour as these people are living without any identification for having their three generations here now,” said Mahajan.
Mahajan appealed to State Government to deport Bangladeshis and Mayanmar refugees settled in Jammu, as they are foreigners and are a risk to the peace and security in the State.
