JAMMU, Oct 25: Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said that many activities have been undertaken by the organization in Panchayat Suketar in Jammu district under Pandit Amarchand Rashtriya Manav Seva Niyas by its J&K Unit.
Addressing the participants at a function held at Suketar near here, VHP All India vice president of Sewa Vibagh, Anand Harbol and Ajay Kumar Parekh, national additional secretary VHP said that for social equality many programmes and activities are being held in health and education sector for backward and poor people of J&K.
They said the backward, deprived and poor people right from childhood through Bal Shishu Kendras , schools and , Ek Vidalaya are being educated about social harmony and nation building. They are also provided the best medicare facilities to save them from various ailments. Through the Sanstha thousands such medical aid centers are being run across the country, they added.
The MP Jugal Kishore Sharma also attended the programme and announced financial aid from his MPLAD for the Sewa Vibagh projects to help the people to become self reliant.
Subdra Yojna J&K head Retika Trehan said for Atam Nirbar Bharat (self reliant) with the help of veterans in the society and some well to do people various programmes are being run and Sewing centers, Gardening training centers, computer centers, Beauty Parlors etc are being opened to make them self reliant. In addition to it under various employment generation schemes for the women and girls the Gardening Branch of Sewa Vibagh in Suketar is training the women about making of pickle, sauce, Murba and they are also given information about the gardening projects.
VHP J&K president Leela Karan Sharma, Working president, Rajesh Gupta, general secretary, Abhishekh Gupta, Sewa Head J&K, Ashok Kumar, Babu Ram Manhas, Sanjay Seth, team from Floriculture Department, Sarpanch Kuldeep Singh besides VHP media incharge Rajesh Bhasin and others were present.
