REASI, Sept 19: Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad today took out a protest march and held demonstration against purported recruitment of some non-Hindu employees in Shiv Khori Shrine Board.
Shouting slogans and carrying flags, the protesting VHP activists marched through different bazaars of Reasi Town and then converged near the office of Deputy Commissioner where a memorandum was submitted.
In the memorandum, which was copied to Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Reasi and all members of the Shrine Board, the VHP has demanded the all non-Hindu employees should be immediately removed from the Board.  If the action is not taken within a week, the VHP and other Hindu organizations would be left with no option other than to launch a vigorous agitation and the administration would be responsible for the same.
As per the memorandum, the administration was also urged to shift the shops of liquor and meat from the Shiv Khori base camp Ransoo in view of the religious sentiments of people.
