Rashly driven truck crushes goats, sheep; driver arrested

RAMBAN, Sept 19: A rashly driven truck crushed 14 goats and sheep near CRPF Camp in Chanderkote. However, police arrested the driver and booked him under relevant sections of law.
As per police sources, a rashly driven truck bearing registration number JK03D-4311 crushed 14 goats and sheep near CRPF Camp in Chanderkote. In the incident, 8 goats also received serious injuries and were shifted to veterinary hospital for treatment.
The flock of goats and sheep belonged to Mohammad Qasim, son of Mohammad Parvez of district Samba. He was bringing the animals from Srinagar to Jammu.
After getting information, police team led by SHO Chanderkote police station Inspector Manzoor Ahmed Kohli rushed to the spot and arrested the driver, under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar. The driver has been identified as Bilal Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Kulgam.
A case under FIR Number 52/15 has been registered at Chanderkote police station and investigation started.
