He, while justifying the decision of Narindera Modi Government to cancel foreign secretary level talks in view of unprovoked firing from across the border in J&K said that India should give a befitting reply to Pakistan which is involved in cross border terrorism for last 25 years and has created lot of devastation and destruction in this State making lakhs of people refugees in their own country.
He also criticized the stand of Congress Party on the issue saying that on the one hand its senior leader and former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has called for tough action against Pakistan and on the other hand his Partymen are supporting resolution. This shows the double standards of the Party.
All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in a meeting has also expressed grave concern over the resolution saying that the State Government can’t meddle in foreign affairs and the decision regarding the same can be only taken by Union Government. He said this way the NC was trying to please the separatists forgetting that J&K belongs to nationalist Muslims, Hindus, Dogras, Ladakhis, Sikhs, Gujjars, Bakerwals and Christians also.
He said over four lakh people have been forced to flee from their homes and hearths by separatists and still the Government advocates for those who have brought the State to the path of destruction.
He said India can’t look as a mute spectator to Pakistan’s opt repeated ceasefire violations and the decision taken by PM regarding canceling of foreign secretary level talks was a step in right direction.
While expressing his surprise over the resolution, KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri said that it has become a routine affair for the State Government to poke its nose into the foreign affairs of the country which fall under the jurisdiction of Union Government.
He, while justifying the PM’s decision of canceling foreign secretary level talks said that border firing and dialogue can’t go together and Pakistan has now crossed all limits and deserves to be given a befitting reply. He said India can’t be mute spectator to the miseries and sufferings of border people who have again become refugees due to Pak misadventure.
