NALAGARH (HP), Mar 6:
Milind Parande, General Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad said Sunday the decision of the Himachal Pradesh government not to keep non-Hindus in Hindu temples in the management system and staff group was commendable. He said the decision not to spend the money of Hindu temples on non-Hindus was also laudable.
While talking to reporters after a high-level meeting of the state unit of the Parishad, said the Vishwa Hindu Parishad thanked the state government for the efforts being made by it on the symbol of the faith of Hinduism and its maintenance.
He also hailed the decision of the State Government to increase the amount of support given to cowsheds and cow-rearers supporting the destitute cows from 500 to 700 saying that by doing so it had done a commendable job for the protection of destitute cows.
Similarly, the decision to open five new cow sanctuaries in the state was also a welcome step. According to the public sentiments, the teaching of Indian religious texts and parts of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita in education courses would also help the society to know the young generation about the glorious past of India.
The VHP leader said the decision of the State Government to amend the Religious Freedom Act 2019 in the state was also commendable, but it needed to be made more effective. For this, Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanded that by making this law more stringent and authorizing the state police to take action, it should be implemented strictly with a view to curb the conspiracy of mass conversion and love jihad in the state.
He said it was worth mentioning here that the non-Hindus were entering into the Himachal Pradesh from other states and were engaged in activities like love jihad, land jihad, and conversion with the plan to increase their population. There was also an increased risk of population imbalance in the future in the state and that was not good.
Lekhraj Rana, state VHP chief, and state secretary, Sunil Jaswal was also present on this occasion.
Earlier, in its two-day meeting the National General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Milind Parande, while addressing the 300 responsible workers of the state urged them to protect the Hindu society by removing the weaknesses of the society.
Dinesh Chander, Palak (foster) in charge of the Inderprastha region of the country, and Mukesh Khandekar, the regional organizing secretary were also present and addressed the workers.
