VHP for free hand to security forces in countering terrorists

JAMMU, July 14: Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) today demanded that the security forces and police be given a free hand in countering terrorists and subversive elements in Kashmir Valley where large scale violence took place after the killing of dreaded Hizbul Commander and his two associates in an encounter with security forces on July 8.
VHP senior leader and patron Dr Rama Kant Dubey while expressing his serious concern over re-surfacing of militant violence in Kashmir said that no leniency be shown to terrorists and subversives just for the sake of political gains. He said the unity and integrity of the nation is of paramount importance and there should be no compromise for the same just for the sake of power.
Dr Dubey said that the security forces who are working in trying circumstances in Valley have given many sacrifices for last 27 years of turmoil to defeat the designs of subversives and their mentors across the border and they need to be given all moral support by the Government as well as political parties. Dr Dubey said the political parties instead of doing politics over the present Kashmir crisis and indulging in blame game should join hands to make a united front against the subversives and separatists thereby sending a message loud and clear that no one will be allowed to harm the unity and integrity of the nation.
He said the security forces should not be pressurized to be soft towards anti national elements and subversives. He said how can security forces look like mute spectators to those who will attack them with the weapons which were stolen by subversives from police during last few days and earlier in the Valley.
