RAJOURI, June 10: With the arrest of a notorious vehicle lifter involved in a series of incidents of thefts and vehicle lifting, police in Rajouri’s Thanamandi aream claimed to have recovered three stolen vehicles including two tractors from his possession.
Police said that on June 7, three complaints were received in Police Station Thanamandi from three different complainants, who stated that their vehicles have gone missing from Saaj and Kote Behrote areas. In relation to this, FIRs U/s 379 IPC were registered in PS Thanamandi.
On this, police said, two separate team of police headed by PSI Maan Singh under the supervision of SHO Thanamandi Fareed Ahmed started investigation and some suspects were rounded up on the basis of technical and human inputs.
“ One of the juvenile suspect was also rounded up who confessed his involvement in the incidents of thefts with two of his associates have gone missing and manhunt has been launched to nab the duo,” said police.
Three stolen vehicles that include Tractor JK11C 2176, one unregistered Tractor and a goods carrier vehicle JK11A 9320 have been recovered during raids conducted on the disclosure of the accused. Further investigation was underway.
