JAMMU, Aug 17: Police arrested a vehicle lifter along with stolen motorcycle from Qasim Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
As per police sources, police team from Bagh-e-Bahu police station laid a naka at Qasim Nagar and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AA-6794.
During scrutinizing of documents, it came to fore that the motorcycle was stolen by the rider from Pacca Danga area.
The rider was arrested on the spot, who has been identified as Lakhan Kumar, son of Des Raj of Bikram Chowk.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the vehicle lifter at police station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu police station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
