RAMBAN, Dec 7: A rashly driven vehicle of Tata Mobile (Mahindra Pick Up) make bearing registration number JK02CC-9768 here today fell in a Nullah leaving the driver critically injured.
Police sources said that the ill fated vehicle was on its way to Phagmulla from Ukhral and when it reached near Higher Secondary School Ukhral, the driver lost control over the vehicle which skidded off the road and landed in a 300 feet deep Nullah.
The critically injured driver was shifted to PHC Ukhral where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased, an Army personnel, has been identified as Nirmal Singh, 28, son of Maya Ram Bhutyal, resident of Upper Phagmulla, Tehsil Pogal Paristan in Ukhral area of Ramban district.
Body of the deceased was kept in mortuary of the PHC for postmortem.
SDPO Banihal, Ajay Jamwal said a case in FIR number 126 of 2023 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Ramsu in this regard and investigation started.
