POONCH, Oct 25: The police seized a Tata Mobile vehicle and rescued five bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
Official sources said that a police party Surankote, under the supervision of SDPO, Asgar Malik laid a naka at Bafliaz on Mughal Road last night and intercepted a vehicle No. JK12A/2971. It was found by police team that five milch animals were being smuggled to Kashmir.
The police seized vehicle along with cattle and arrested its driver. The trader however managed to flee the spot. He has been identified as Mohd Idrees Khan, son of Mohd Khalil, resident of Mendhar. A case FIR No. 240/ 2017 has been registered against the accused at Police Station Surankote.
