ANANTNAG, May 3: Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, A R Veeri today reviewed the status of land acquisition cases for construction of various roads in Anantnag under PMGSY at a meeting held at Dak Bungalow Khanabal.
DDC Anantnag Mohd Younis Malik apprised the Minister about the compensation disbursed for the roads of Zirpora-Gadiseer road, Thajiwara Krandigam (Veeri) 4-lanning of National Highway, Larkipora-Zaldoora Lisser road, Dooru-Kutay Gund Road and Kishtwar Simthan Anantnag road.
The meeting was also informed that a compensation of Rs 86.41 crore has been disbursed against a released amount of 120.07 crore for construction of Kishtwar Simthan Anantnag road, completed from Simthan Top to Donipawa.
The Minister emphasised upon the Engineers of both PHE and PDD for immediate material shifting of pipes, poles, H T, L T conductor from Chechkoot to Nanil, Mahind to Wopzan and Thajiwara to Krandigam, to enable time bound macadamization of the said roads.
