UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: A Village Defence Guard (VDG) shot himself to death in Pachount area of Dudu in Latti Tehsil of Udhampur District last night. According to police one Babu Ram (53), son of Dina Nath, resident of Roun Panchyat, Pachount – 2 in Dudu committed suicide by using his service rifle at his residence late last evening.
Family members rushed to the spot and took the injured person to PHC Dudu where doctors declared him as brought dead.
A case has been registered under section 174 CrPC at Police Station Latti for further investigation.
