JAMMU, June 6: Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Satesh Nehru along with a team of senior officers visited the construction work on media house at Railhead Complex.
The VC visited the site of the four story building being constructed with all modern amenities along with one auditorium and impressed upon the engineering wing to complete the project within next 3 months.
The VC directed the SE to invite tenders for pending works and do the work in double shift for timely completion. He warned the contractor to complete the job in stipulated time period otherwise penalty will be imposed on him.
He also visited Vidhata Nagar area at Bathindi where 99 kanal of state land has been transferred to JDA and directed the Superintending Engineer to ensure fencing of the land available and install JDA sign boards. He asked the Chief Khilafwarzi Officer to strengthen their efforts against encroachments.
During the visit, the VC observed some encroachments on road side and directed for removal of the same immediately.
The VC was accompanied by Superintending Engineer, Chief Town Planner, Executive Engineer Div-I, Tehsildar Zone -B, Chief Khilafwarzi Officer and revenue officials of JDA.
Meanwhile, the enforcement wing of JDA removed encroachment along canal opposite Trikuta Nagar and retrieved 2 kanal of precious land valuing Rs. 1 crore.
