JAMMU, Jan 25: In order to facilitate the public in seeking easy building permissions from Jammu Development Authority and clearing the cases in hassle free manner, the Vice Chairman JDA convened the meeting of BOCA. The meeting was also aimed to discuss the enforcement of Master Plan.
In the 9th meeting of this year, 35 cases were placed before the committee out of which 30 cases have been cleared. The remaining cases were deferred due to some deficiencies.
The Vice Chairman JDA Rajesh Kumar Shavan said that JDA is putting every effort to improve the overall functioning of the organization, so that people do not suffer. While referring to the new Master Plan, he said that the new Master Plan 2032 is already notified by the Government and process is underway for preparation of Zonal plans. He further said that Jammu has been divided into 19 zones and 50 percent of the staff stands recruited.
In the meeting it was exhorted upon the officers to enforce the building by-laws in strict sense and curb the violations with iron hands. It is pertinent to mention that the private builders are constructing flats but not leaving any space or flat or the EWS on Low income group.
Vice Chairman said that JDA will soon tighten the noose against the violations of this scheme and effect recovery of flats or shelter fee.
Those who attended the meeting included CTP JDA, DLM, JDA, XEN, PDD Inspection, XEN PHE, XEN, Town Drainage, XEN sewerage and drainage etc.
