VC inspects developmental works, inaugurates water coolers

JAMMU, July 17: Vice Chairman (VC), Jammu Development Authority (JDA) RK Shavan inspected developmental works.
He visited Roop Nagar Housing Colony, Rajinder Nagar and Bahu Plaza areas where different works are being executed by the JDA.
During the visit, VC inspected the ongoing work of JDA club and the parks at Roop Nagar and asked the concerned engineers to expedite the speed of execution and check the quality of work on daily basis.
It is pertinent to mention that JDA is constructing recreational club at Roop Nagar and expecting its completion by October 2018. The JDA intends to make it functional by the end of this year and start membership for which the constitution stands already adopted by the Board of Directors.
Besides this, the VC JDA also inspected the Rajinder Nagar Phase-II site, where the construction of vegetable market is being carried out and directed the concerned executive engineer to put shades and lights also so that it becomes functional within a month.
The work of open stage at Bahu Plaza was also reviewed on spot and executive engineer has been directed to complete it on war footing basis and improve the quality of work by taking consultation from the Chief Architect, JDA.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman RK Shavan inaugurated two water coolers at Ware House, Nehri Market here. He was accompanied by Secretary JDA Rakesh Gupta.
One water cooler was donated by Deepak Gupta, General Secretary of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market in the loving memory of his father Late Sh Puran Chand Gupta, Ex-President of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market Jammu and other water cooler has been installed at Shiv Market which is donated by Federation.
President of the Federation Rattan Lal Mahajan alias Ratto Shah, Senior Vice President Dheeraj Mahajan, Junior Vice President Munish Mahajan, Secretary Abhimanyu Gupta, Cashier Vishal Gupta and other senior members of the Federation were present on the occasion.
