JAMMU, Oct 1: Vedik Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) today constituted Udhampur unit of the organization and resolved to work for the welfare of the community.
In a meeting of the VBKP held at Udhampur district headquarters today, over sixty members including, State level executive committee members under the leadership of its J&K Unit president, Surinder Sharma (Adv) participated. Naresh Sharma, was unanimously elected as president, Pawan Sharma as vice president while Rajesh Sharma as general secretary of the Udhampur district unit. A 11-member executive body was announced on the occasion and it was decided that rest of the office bearers will be declared shortly.
During the meeting the participants discussed the issues related to the welfare of the community including financial support to the poor/ needy families, felicitate children and youth for their outstanding performance in various fields and encourage Vedik education and Sanskrit language.
