JAMMU, July 23: National Panthers Party, community organisations and social activists today extended their full support to package and other employees who were on protest on the 9th consecutive day here at Relief Commissioner’s office to press their demand of seeking their adjustment in migrant cells of various departments in Jammu. These employees have left the Valley after mob targeted their residential quarters during the violence.
The violence-hit employees under the banner of All Migrant Employees Association were protesting in support of their demands. They have vowed to continue their protest till the Government concedes their issues. These employees have left no option but to seek protection in Jammu after the Government allegedly have failed to protect them in recent mob violence.
Amid loud sloganeering of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai, bring us back, we want justice, Kashmir waps nahein jayein gey etc,” hundreds of employees including women and children were seen daily protesting at RC’s office and later staging a sit-in throughout the day to highlight their demands. These employees seem annoyed with the State Government as it so far has not taking any step to listen their grievances.
Various employees where speaking on the occasion have urged upon the Central Government to understand the gravity of the situation and the circumstance that have forced them to flee from Valley. The irritated employees warned the Government of its dally delaying tactics in mitigating their demands.
Meanwhile, many organizations have come in support of the protesting employees’ demands and concerns. General secretary National Panther’s Party Anita Thakur on behalf of her party extended full support to the employees in their struggle. She arrived at the protest site with her other party workers and joined them for two hours. She also addressed the employees. Others who address and extended their support to employees included Rakesh Koul from Samporan Kashmir , Swami Kumar Jee from Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi and social activist Dr. Ramesh Kumar Bhat.
