Various organizations celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour

JAMMU, Aug 16: Various organizations celebrated 73rd Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K celebrated the 73rd Independence Day at Dogra Hall in Dogra Sadar Sabha Complex. Gulchain Singh Charak, President and former Minister hoisted the Tricolor amidst singing of National Anthem. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Prem Sagar Gupta, Brig MS Jamwal, Amanat Ali Shah, Satinder Mahajan and Vidya Sagar Sharma.
The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated at Amar Singh Club, Jammu with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. Secretary of the club Vijay Saraf along with all the executive committee members unfurled the National Flag.
A function was held today at Bari Brahmana Industries Association Office to celebrate the day. Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA unfurled the National Flag in presence of Tarun Singla, Senior Vice President, Ajay Langer, Vice President, Rajesh Jain, Secretary, Vivak Singhal, Treasurer, members of BBIA, senior Police Officers and civil society members.
NSC Student Wing of NCP celebrated Independence Day. RS Billoweria Chairman Youth Wing, TK Kaul Senior Vice President, Rishi Kaul Kilam National Executive Council Member, Krishen Kumar Digra Vice President, Bharat Kumar General Secretary and NSC Vice President Mashqur Ahmed participated in the event.
Managing Committee of the District Bar Association Kathua celebrated 73rd Independence Day in District Court Complex Kathua. On the occasion the Additional Superintendent of Police Ramnish Gupta was the chief guest who unfurled the National Flag in presence of Ajat Shatru Sharma, President District Bar Association Kathua, Advocate Deepak Sharma Executive Member, Advocate Pankaj Gupta, Advocate Nishant Singh General Secretary, Advocate Munish Mahajan Joint Treasurer, Sumreshwar Singh Andotra President YLA, Advocate Keshav Verma, Advocate Anit Padha, senior Bar Members, staff of CRPF and civil society members.
73rd Independence Day was celebrated by the All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference by hoisting the National Flag at ASKPC Bhawan Durga Nagar Jammu in presence of a large gathering of enthusiastic community members. President ASKPC Advocate Ravinder Raina addressed the gathering.
A function on 73rd Independence Day was organized by Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha at Mahajan Bhawan, Shalamar Road, Jammu. Romesh Chander Gupta President of the Sabha in presence of members of Mahajan community unfurled the National Flag. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC, Yash Paul Gupta, Amar Chand Gupta, Om Prakash Mahajan (Kaku Shah), Shiv Partap Gupta, Om Parkash Gupta and many others were present on the occasion.
Anutham Hotel and Resorts celebrated 73rd Independence Day by hoisting the Tricolor. The National Flag was unfurled by Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Manhas and MLC Vikram Randhawa.
A flag hosting ceremony was organized by the residents of Om Nagar Udheywalla to celebrate 73rd Independence Day. Vikas Dewan a social activist and SI Varuneshwer Singh Incharge Police Post Ponichak unfurled the National Flag. 73rd Independence Day was celebrated by the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) in collaboration with various social, culture, trade, civil society members, as well as people from different walk of life. NMC President Subash Shastri hoisted National Flag at a function organized by the NMC at Pacca Danga Chowk in the presence of Ex. DC BS Jamwal, prominent social activist Rajinder Kumar (Raju), Bhairdev Sathan Trust General Secretary Romesh Sharma and others dignitaries.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj celebrated the day with enthusiasm and gaiety. Ex Sub Makhan Lal Sharma hoisted the National Flag in presence of Rajdeep Singh.A group of children presented cultural programme on the occasion. Jasbir Singh, Chairman Unique Public Higher Secondary School presented cash prize of Rs 1100 to the participating children. Jammu Province Peoples Forum celebrated Independence Day by organizing colourful programme and flag hoisting. The National Flag was unfurled by President JPPF Pavitar Singh in presence of Working President M S Katoch, ML Sharma, Avinash Bhatia, Balwan Singh, PR Slathia, etc.
Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar Jammu celebrated 73rd Independence Day by organizing a Yagya. Patron Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar Prithvi Nath Raina unfurled the National Flag in presence of Bharat Bhushan Arya, President, Ranvijay Shastri, Subhash Arya, Secretary and many others.
To celebrate 73rd Independence Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized a cultural programme. VK Magotra Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India unfurled the National Flag in presence of ML Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS, Dr Tara Singh Charak Former Deputy Director, Health Department, RP Amla Former Assistant of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and many others. The music of the programme was composed by Raju Bajgal, Senior Music Instructor.
Inner Wheel Club Jammu celebrated Independence Day. President Reva Raina and PDC Dr Santosh unfurled the National Flag in presence of Secretary Rattan Prabha, Auditor Asha Chandan, Anila Mengi, Dr Meena Pratiba, Priya Darshani, Lalita Gupta, Rosy, Shoba and Seema.

Arya Samaj Dayanand Marg, City Chowk Jammu celebrated Independence Day by performing vedic hawan and singling daily routine bhajans. The flag was hoisted by General Secretary Balwan Singh along with Secretary Vivek Gupta, Purohit Mukesh Shastri, Vijay Kumar and others.
Bharat Vikas Parishad Bahu Branch celebrated 73rd Independence Day at Shakti Park, Sector 9, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. PP Sharma, Retd Principal Chief Conservator of Forest was the chief guest who hoisted the National Flag along with the guest of honour Neeraj Puri Corporater of Ward Number 54. The programme was conducted by TC Taggar Prant General Secretary, while the welcome address was read by Er Purshotam Gupta President of the Branch. Children of the Blue Bird School presented colourful programmes. Gifts were distributed among the children by PP Sharma along with Suneel Mahajan.
Sulabh International Social Service Organisation Jammu and Kashmir celebrated Independence Day. The Flag was hoisted by Paras Kumar Jha, who has been awarded with the best social worker for his valuable contribution to the organization. Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu celebrated the 73rd Independence Day which was attended by a large number of people besides members of the Society. National Flag was hoisted and National anthem was sung by all present. Balwinder Singh Rinku President AS Khera Advocate Chairman Sanjeev Talwar General Secretary Hardeep Singh Vice President Pawan Sharma Vice President Harjeet Singh Joint Secretary Jatinder Kumar Cashier and many others were present on the occasion.
The day was celebrated by Balgran, Channi Rama Jammu. The National Flag was hoisted by Sadhna Kachroo, donor of Balgran in presence of President of the Balgran AK Khajuria. Merit certificates and prizes were presented to Jugal Kishor, Sachin Verma, Mukesh Singh and Suman Devi for securing high percentage in annual examination. On the occasion, Sadhna Kachroo presented a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Balgran for upliftment of under privileged children of the society.
National Flag was hoisted in the premises of Jammu Red Cross Home for Handicapped, Udheywala to commemorate Independence Day by Satish Kumar Sharma, President Youth Congress Party Jammu-Poonch constituency in presence of PC Kapoor, President of the JRC Home for Handicapped, Nirmal Vikram, members of the Governing Body and many others.
73rd Independence Day was celebrated by at Chakbala Panchayat. Ashwani Jojra, Administrator Chakbala Panchayat, Anuradha Thakur BDO RS Pura and special children (Divyangs) of Sahyog India jointly hoisted the National Flag. Parents of martyr Gurnam Singh, public representatives and officials of various departments were present on the occasion.
Independence Day was celebrated by Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti, Jammu Kashmir at Railway Station Jammu. A large number of people participated in the function. Water Works (PHE) Employees Association celebrated the Independence Day. Shiv Kumar Sharma, State President of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) hoisted the National Flag.
Morning Walkers Welfare Association Manda celebrated Independence Day. The National Flag was hoisted by Chairman Ashok Gupta in presence of other members of the Association.
All Jammu and Kashmir Christians Forum celebrated Independence Day. The National Flag was hoisted by Markes Gill, State President of the Forum in presence of Yash Sotra, Choudhary Mohan Lal, Vinay Sotra, Ajay Sotra, Anil Mattoo, Qurinilius Gill and many others.
All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association hoisted National Flag to celebrate Independence Day. Om Raj Bhal, Vice President, Colonel (Retd) Som Nath Dogra General Secretary highlighted the importance of the day. Gopal Dass, AGM RBI (Retd), Ex Capt Joginder Paul, Krishan Gopal, Milkhi Ram Majotra, Rajesh Bajgaal and many others were present on the occasion.
On the eve of Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized by Akhnoor Industries Association in SICOP Industrial Estate Akhnoor. President of the Association Lakhbir Singh hoisted the National Flag in presence of NK Jain, Senior Vice President, Sudesh Sharma General Secretary, GN Sharma Treasurer, Ashok Sharma, Press Secretary, RC Sharma Advicor, Mohan Lal Joint Secretary and Advocate Vishnu Kant.
PHE Water Works Employees Association District Udhampur celebrated Independence Day, in which a large number of employees and workers took part. Som Nath District President of the Association was the chief guest, while KK Badyal, Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Udhampur hoisted the National Flag. Executive Engineer PHE Civil Division Udhampur Ajay Gupta and Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical Division Udhampur Babu Ram Sharma were also present on the occasion.
To commemorate Independence Day, National Flag was hoisted at Panchayat Ghar of Panchayat Halqa Mandal. Col (Retd) Som Nath Dogra, newly elected Sarpanch threw light on the importance of the day. PHE Workers Welfare Association celebrated Independence Day at PHE City Sub Division Dounthli. Bakshi Singh, President of the Association along with Chander Shekhar Khajuria and Vishal Mahajan, AEE Civil and AEE Mechanical of Sub Division Dounthli jointly unfurled the National Flag in presence of hundreds of PHE employees and Subash Verma, Provincial General Secretary.

73rd Independence Day was celebrated in Ward Number 12 Krishna Nagar, Jammu. J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), organized a function to commemorate 73rd Independence Day at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu in which the senior as well as younger members participated. On the occasion, Chairman of the J&K Branch of ICAI, CA Shalay Razdan along with its Executive Committee members and others members of the branch unfurled the National Flag. Independence Day was celebrated by Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Chanakaya Chowk Parade by hoisting the National Flag in presence of all the members of the Sabha.
