SRINAGAR, May 17: A deputation of Industries Association Kathua called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh here today and projected several demands related to the Kathua Industrial Estate and overall industrial scenario in the State.
The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, Commissioner Secretary, PDD, Dheeraj Gupta and other senior officers and office bearers of the association were present in the meeting.
The deputation highlighted several demands including the shortage of power at Industries, New Industrial Estate at Ghatti, Railway Bridge over Hatli Road, convening of Development Commissioner Power’s meeting regarding the clearance fortnightly and also the connectivity issues of the BSNL.
Deputy Chief Minister assured the deputation that all their genuine demands would be taken up at an earliest. He said that Government is committed to boost industrial scenario in the State and in this regard several schemes have also been undertaken besides the concept of single window clearance has also been introduced so that the aspiring entrepreneurs do not face any inconvenience and get the requisite NOCs in a hassle free manner.
Dr Singh further said that 24X7 supply of electricity is being given to the industrial estates and the necessary instructions have already been passed to the concerned officers of the PDD to ensure that adequate amount of electric power is provided to these units. He said besides this several other industry friendly measures have also been undertaken.
