JAMMU, Sept 20: The fifteen days Hindi Pakhwada is being organized by the Department of Hindi, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), since September 14.
During the event, various competitions like speech, poetry recitation, essay writing and story writing are being organized. Students from various Government colleges of Jammu division and Central University of Jammu are participating in large numbers in these competitions.
CUJ Vice Chancellor, Prof Sanjeev Jain today inaugurated the ‘My Signature in Hindi’ campaign by signing the first sign. Prof Yashwant Singh Registrar; Mohammad Iqbal, Finance Officer; Prof Bharat Bhushan, HoD Hindi and other Indian Languages; Dr Priyanjan, Assistant Director Hindi Cell, Heads and Faculty of the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages also took the campaign forward by signing in Hindi.
Prof Bharat Bhushan, Head of the Hindi Department, conducted the competitions. First prize in speech competition was bagged by Jagriti Gupta (Education Department, CUJ) while second prize was secured by Navratri Khajuriya (Mass Communication and New Media Department, CUJ). Third prize went to Sukanya Kumari (Government College, Bishnah). First prize in poetry recitation competition was bagged by Nikhil Singh (PP Dogra, Government College, Samba), second prize by Ankit Mishra (Education Department, CUJ), third prize by Ravindra Singh (PM. Dogra, Government College, Samba). First prize in story writing competition was bagged by Shweta (Department of Mass Communication and New Media, CUJ), Second prize by Sonam Kapoor (Education Department, CUJ) and Third Prize by Keshav (Biology, CUJ). First Prize in Essay Writing goes to Krishika Gupta (Department of Biology, CUJ) , second prize to Palak Kumari (Education Department, CUJ) and third prize to Ansh Dev (Biology Department, CUJ).
Dr. Ritu Bakshi, Dr Ajay Kumar Singh, Dr Naresh Sharma, Dr Parveen Kumari, Dr Bijendra Kumar, Dr Vandana Sharma, Dr Ratnesh Kumar Yadav and Dr Arvind Kumar Yadav played the role of jury.
