JAMMU, Dec 6: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil while reacting to Farooq Abdullah’s offer of National Conference support to Hurriyat Conference on Kashmir struggle has dared National Conference president to seek resignations from all his party legislators and formally join the separatist alliance for carrying forward the ongoing Kashmir struggle to its logical conclusion.
In a statement issued here Vakil said “National Conference president
Farooq Abdullah is unfortunately continuing the policy of political hypocrisy by offering support to the Kashmir struggle divorced by his father Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah way back in 1975 after 21 years of struggle for plebiscite in Kashmir”.
Asking Farooq Abdullah to explain the reasons of National Conference quitting 21 years of plebiscite struggle and Late Sheikh Abdullah terming 21 years of plebiscite struggle as 21 years of political wilderness, Vakil dared Farooq Abdullah to direct all his party legislators to quit as members of the State Legislature, come clean on the disproportionate assets accumulated by NC legislators from 1975 onwards till date and formally join the separatist alliance run under the leadership of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Saying that the people of Kashmir are aware of politics of deceit, double speak and double standards of Abdullah dynasty Vakil said the present crisis is the creation of Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and people of Kashmir won’t trust them from now onwards. Better for Farooq Abdullah to keep in mind his cries for bombardment on Pakistan controlled Kashmir as Chief Minister of the State and seek apology from Kashmiris for his evil deeds of the past than trying to exploit them by raising slogans of Kashmir struggle, autonomy, article 370 and porous borders only in the years of sitting in the opposition.
