JAMMU, Oct 3: A Vaishno Devi pilgrim died today after he slipped from the stairs of a platform at Railway Station, Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, Surinder Nath Rai (61), son of Paleshwar Rai and resident of district Mahu (Uttar Pradesh) while stepping down the stairs of a platform at Railway Station, Jammu, accidently fell down.
In unconscious condition, he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries, the spokesperson said.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
