JAMMU, Jan 8: Apni Party senior vice president, Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo today called on Chief Secretary, J&K Atal Dulloo and highlighted the issue of bifurcation of ration cards.
As per a press release, Mattoo met the Chief Secretary to highlight concern of the local population of Jammu.
“I have conveyed to the Chief Secretary that the bifurcation of the ration cards is not being done by the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD),” said Matto, quoting his meeting with the Chief Secretary.
He said that the Chief Secretary was informed that the families face problems because their married children fail to get the Government ration as per the quota per family.
“Therefore, the ration cards should be bifurcated in the interest of the economically weaker and above poverty line people,” he said.
