*Vikramdeep creates new record by lifting 230 kg

JAMMU, Mar 8: Two days J&K UT level Bench Press Championship unequipped and equipped sub-junior, junior, senior and master (men & women), organised by All J&K UT Power Lifting Association, concluded at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, near Bahu Fort Police Station, here today.
Councillor Bahu Fort, Sham Bassan was the chief guest on the occasion while Latish Sharma, JKPCC president, Raj Kumar and Rohit Sharma were the special guests who distributed prizes among the winner and runner-up players.
In this championship, Vikramdeep, Sawan and Amita Devi won best lifter titles in senior unequipped and equipped category, whereas Sakshi Koul, Surjeet Singh and Udayvir Singh clinched best lifter titles in junior unequipped & equipped and Atul Singh and Shabam Alam remained best lifter in sub junior unequipped & equipped category besides Ajay Sharma & Rajesh Gupta won best lifter titles in master-I & master- II categories.
About 130 players participated from different districts of J&K including Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Poonch, Reasi, Kishtwar and Doda.
Vikramdeep created new record in J&K UT by lifting 230 kg in 105 kg category.
In women category, Mehak Talwar, Heena Naz, Sapna Jain, Sakshi Koul, Amita Devi, Shalini, Meenu Kalotra, Shreeja Slathia and Tamana clinched Gold medals, whereas Heena Naz, Chakshu Chawla and Mansha Gupta secured Silver medals.
In men category, Ashok Singh, Tarun Sodhi, Aman Singh, Lakhan, Tarun Chib, Vishan Sudan, Shubam Kalotra, Raman Kumar, Sawan Kumar, Bodh Raj, Ashish Saini, Ajay Kumar, Lalit Raj, Ibrahim, Amandeep, Sajan Sharma, Rajesh, Adnan Choudhary, Abdul Mumin Dar, Faizan Aslam, Azim Aslam, Manu Khajuria, Lovely Kumar, Aman Saini, Surjeet Singh, Uday Veer Singh, Harish Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Vikram Singh, Atul Singh, Sourab Bali, Shoy Gupta, Shalab Gupta, Ajay Jogi, Shabam Alam, Ibhiam Sharma, Rubam Sharma, Vikramdeep, Vinod Gupta, Akash Dutt, Bunty Kumar and Vishal Kumar succeeded to win Gold medals, whereas Silver medals were clinched by Keshav Singh Langeh, Sarabjeet, Anshu Sharma, Prem Kumar, Rahul Balgotra, Raja Babar, Heemanshu Dogra, Nayem Ahmed, Joginder Singh, Sahil Balyar Singh, Rahul Kumar, Narotam Singh, Ishit Khajuria, Panwan Pandit, Abhi Singh, Paras Balgotra, Shaman Kumar, Sahil Anand, Bhupinder Singh, Ankush Chib, Robin Barna, Ang Dev Singh, Vikas Sudan, Saksham Singh, Anurag Magotra, Rakesh Kumar, Uttam Chand, Onkar Singh, Vasu Gupta, Arun Kumar, Rubam Sharma and Ibrar Choudhary.
The Bronze medals were secured by Aniket Sharma, Sameer Sharma, Hasnain Shakeel, Sahil Kumar, Rahul Bhan, Vidul Mengi, Sarash Bhat, Vicky Kumar, Sher Singh, Sahil Khan, Vikrant Khajuria, Raghav Verma, Aditya Gupta, Prabjot Singh and Anil Kumar.
The championship was organised by Ajay Sharma gen secy, Rahul Sawhney senior vice president, Gulzar Singh vice president, Adil Ashraf Khan, Sanjeev Singh joint secretaries, Vinay Sharma media secretary along with other members of the Association.
