JAMMU, Apr 4: A meeting of provincial committee members of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) was held under the chairmanship of provincial president Hari Singh for discussing various issues confronting the teaching community.
The meet expressed serious concern over inordinate delay in releasing the salary of newly appointed teachers working under SSA scheme.
Seeking adjustment of newly promoted Headmasters and Principals, the USTA also appealed the authorities to redress other long pending demands, such as selection grade in favour of undergraduate teachers, settling set up cases and permission for higher education cases pending in the Directorate of School Education, removal of pay anomalies and filling of vacant posts in schools.
Those who attended the meeting, included Rajeev Kumar, Chemail Singh, Seva Ram, Dr Shashi Pal Singh, Julfkar Maliq, Pardeep Singh, Rajkumar, Madan Lal, Mohd Nisar and Rajeshwar Sharma.
