USTA demands modification of normless transfer orders

JAMMU, Oct 6: J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) has demanded modification of irrational and normless transfer orders, recently made by Directorate of School Education Jammu.
Addressing a press conference, here today, Hari Singh and Rajeev Kumar, president and general secretary of USTA alleged that the Transfer Policy norms were violated by the Education authorities, who befooled the teachers on the name of Transfer Melas. “Only near and dear of the Ministers and bureaucrats got suitable postings whereas dedicated but hapless teachers, who were working in far flung and tedious areas, miles away from their residences, have been again hit by the irrational and illogical orders,” they said and demanded modification of such transfer orders.
The USTA leader also highlighted some other demands, which include adjustment of the  Masters whose DPC was made in February 2014, release pending salary of ReT teachers  and Masters, 4th & 5th installment of 6th Pay Commission arrear & DA. arrears of Masters working under SSA, release salary of newly appointed teachers working against shifted posts, Senior Teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers and removal of pay anomalies in their grade, restoration of old pension scheme, implementation of transfer policy in favour of regularized ReT teachers, especially female teachers & start Pre-primary classes in all schools having primary classes by providing required staff and infrastructure.
The USTA leader expressed grave concern over the alleged non serious and indifferent attitude of the State Government towards these just and  long pending demands of the teaching community. They appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter and direct the concerned authorities to provide transparent administration and concede the demands to avoid any further confrontation.
