USTA apprises Kabra of teachers’ demands

JAMMU, Dec 27: A deputation of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA), led by Hari Singh, provincial president, called on Commissioner cum Secretary to Government School Education Department, Shaleen Kabra and put forth a charter of demands for their early redressal.
The demands includes release of pending salary and arrears of Teachers/Masters working under various schemes, adjustment of Masters whose DPC was made in February 2014,
modification in normless transfer orders of those Masters who were repeatedly posted in far flung areas before ban on transfers, release of senior teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers, filling vacant posts of Teachers/Masters/Head-Masters /Lecturers through DPC, confirming all Lectures/Head-Masters/ZEO’s and Principals working in their own pay and scale, starting Pre-Primary classes in all schools having primary classes by proving staff and infrastructure, implementing earlier orders to issue GP statements and update service record of Teachers and other employees in letter and spirit in Education Department and enhancing salary of unregularized ReTs from Rs. 3000/- to Rs.15000/- per month.
The Commissioner Secretary gave a patient hearing to the deputation and held half an hour detail discussion on the issues. He also assured to take prompt action on genuine issues and demands.
The deputation comprised of Rajeev Kumar, Roop Lal, Rattan Singh, Amrit Lal, Som Raj, Ajay Dubey and Shanti Saroop Sharma.
