JAMMU, June 12: The US-based Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics, which primarily focuses on improving the lives of disabled through devices and techniques, today launched its first standalone clinic in Jammu.
Speaking on the launching function, chairman, CPO, India, Vinod Bhanti, said that the clinic will become a one-stop solution for patients suffering from amputations, limb loss as well as lifestyle related joint problems.
“Our aim is to restore mobility and quality of life in those who have lost hope. Our customized products help people get on with their lives independently by making them resume their normal activities of living. Our expert clinicians will work with the patients to understand their needs and recommend the best service that will effectively meet their requirements”, he said.
He further revealed that the company aims to launch 20 more clinics in India in the next one year.
The clinic situated in downtown Bakshi Nagar area of the city, will offer complete range of prosthetics, orthotics, pediatrics and pedorthics (footcare) solutions to patients.
In prosthetics, CPO’s expertise comes into play in fitting the products on any amputated uneven or lost limb with the help of customized company-made sockets, which requires immense precision, minuteness and accuracy.
In orthotics, besides providing solutions for lifestyle problems such as stiff neck, tennis elbow, back pain, the company has fitted patient with complex orthoses such as cranial remolding helmets for infants, RGO for paraplegics to innovative prostheses using high-end technology.
The company has also expertise in treatment of problems related to flat foot, mechanical low back pain and diabetic foot, among others through its customized high-end ‘Foot Insoles’, which it designs using the most advanced technology.
