JAMMU: A special court of National Investigation Agency today granted 15-day judicial remand to two militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad arrested in Uri attack in which 19 Army personnel were killed. Special Judge NIA J&K, Jammu Kishore Kumar today granted 15-day judicial remand of accused Faisal Hussain Awan, 20, resident of village Podha Jhandgra, Muzaffrabad (PoK) and Ahsan Khursheed, 19, resident of village Khaliana, Khurd, Muzaffrabad (PoK) who were arrested by the NIA in Uri Attack Case in which 18 Army persons were martyred.

NIA team produced Faisal Hussain Awan and Ahsan Khursheed before the court seeking police remand as they are allegedly involved in Uri Attack case.

The Court further observed that keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, stage of the investigation and the nature of offences involved in the case, this application is allowed and the accused persons are remanded to judicial custody for a period of 15 days.

The Court directed that medical examination of the accused persons be got conducted as required under law. (AGENCIES)
