Inter-Panchayat Level Tournament

JAMMU, Apr 27: Inter-Panchayat Level Tournament in different disciplines, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports, organised under centrally sponsored scheme Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abyan (PYKKA), commenced at Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal, in which about 300 players participated enthusiastically.
On the occasion, Sarpanch Bhalwal, Raj Dev Singh, was the chief guest while Principal, GHSS Bhalwal, Tahira Shawal, presided over the function.
During the tournament, In Kabaddi event, Bhalwal panchayat defeated Upper Gharota while in Kho-Kho, Upper Jandayal registered win over Lower Gharota.
In Volleyball, Upper Jandyal thrashed Upper Gharota and in Handball, Bhalwal panchayat outplayed Gurah Brahmana.
In wrestling, Zamil of Raipur outplayed Amit Singh of Amb under 35 kg category, in 38 kg category, Imran Khan thrashed Parveen Kumar of Amb, in 41 kg, Deepak Kumar of Gharota routed Vikey Kumar of Amb, in 45 kg, Joginder Singh beat Rahul Kumar of Amb, in 49 kg, Ravi Kumar of Gharota outplayed Sawale of Keran, in 54 kg, Daud of Bhalwal drubbed Vishal of Gharota and in 50 kg, Farman Ali of Keran remained winner.
The matches were officiated by Gulbir Singh, Balwan Singh, Ram Paul, Sunil Abrol, Auresh Singh, Jyoti Sharma, Sarika Sharma, Kulbir Singh, Sudesh Jamwal, Gagan Kumar and Hanif.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Tirath Ram, district youth services and sports officer (DYSSO) while Bhim Singh, ZPEO Bhalwal, is the overall incharge.
