NEW DELHI, Apr 14: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and other Supreme Court judges paid tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary on Tuesday inside the apex court’s premises.
Speaking to the media in Hindi, the CJI appreciated and remembered Dr Ambedkar, reflecting on the enduring legacy of the principal architect of the Constitution.
He said that Dr Ambedkar provided the nation with a “comprehensive constitution” designed to safeguard the rights of every citizen.
“We remember Dr Ambedkar with deep respect. Remembering the constitutional values of right to equality, fraternity, fundamental rights, and others, and upholding the constitutional rights he envisioned is the greatest tribute we can pay to his memory,” CJI Kant said. (Agencies)
