Passing out parade of 5th BRTC batch held

SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Advisor to Governor B B Vyas today lauded the role of the police force for upholding professionalism amid challenging situation.
“I congratulate the police force for continuously working for the welfare of the people with dedication. I am proud of the Jammu and Kashmir Police for proving its mettle in the difficult times,” he said during his address at the attestation cum passing out parade of 5th BRTC batch at Commando Training Centre, Lethpora Pulwama.
Vyas said there are many more challenges ahead for the police force in view of a series of upcoming elections. “We have decided to hold local bodies polls and police has to deal with this challenge and fulfill its role,” he said.
Saying that nation salutes the courage of JK police personnel, Advisor Vyas said that everyone pays tribute to their supreme sacrifices.
On the occasion, the Advisor felicitated the best performing recruits in various disciplines.
Advisor Vyas who was the chief guest on the occasion took the salute of the march past and conducted traditional inspection of the parade.
In all, 790 Jawans completed the training course for recruitment as Constables.
Complementing the newly trained Constables for graduating into a new field of duty, Advisor Vyas asked them to perform their job with sincerity and dedication.
The Principal of the training college Muhammad Arif Rishu gave a detailed overview of the different training modules imparted to the cadets during the training course for dealing with different situations.
The function was attend among others by ADGPs Abdul Gani Mir, Muneer Ahmed Khan, IGPs Jagjit Kumar, J P Singh, Surinder Kumar Gupta, Anand Jain, S. P. Pani, DIG (SKR) Amit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar, senior officers of police, army and CRPF besides senior officers of divisional and district administration.
