UPA has created record in corruption: BJP

JAMMU, June 15: Upbeat with appointment of Gujarat Chief Minister Narindra Modi as chairman Election Campaign Committee (ECC), the State BJP today claimed that there is a wave in favour of the party in every nook and corner of the country including the State of J&K.
This has sent shivering in spines of the leaders of NC, Congress and PDP, who are feeling helpless to face the masses in the future elections. This was stated by BJP State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma while addressing a joint meeting of senior leaders, State office bearers, district presidents, Prabharis, MLAs and Morcha Presidents in Ban Talab near here today.
He said though the people had high hopes in Congress which was voted to power at Centre in 2008 and the NC -Congress coalition that formed the Government in the State in the same year but they failed to come to the expectations of the people. The Congress led UPA at the Centre crossed all limits and created record in corruption and scams. Similarly, the NC-Congress coalition in J&K adopted soft approach towards anti-national elements and separatists, he added.
Mr Sharma said that the BJP has been demanding resignation of Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh for the involvement of UPA Government in scams and the Party has decided to launch Jail Bharo Andolan from June 17 across the country to seek PM’s resignation. The Protest at Jammu will be held at Dogra Chowk, Jammu.
Leader of Legislative Party & National Executive Member Ashok Khajuria stressed on better coordination between the district presidents and Prabharis as well as legislators in order to achieve the desired results. He said that this is the best mantra for achieving success.
National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the party activists have to put more efforts at the booth levels so that the party gets access to the grass-root workers as well as the voters at the lowest level..
National Executive Member Shamsher Singh Manhas,  State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State general secretary, Bali Bhagat Rajinish Jain, Party MLAs -Sukhnandan Kumar and Sham Choudhary also addressed the meeting.
On the occasion retired Army officers including Col. (retd.) Jangvir Singh, Sub. Major (retd) B.S. Jasrotia, Subedar (retd) Rattan Lal, Hav. (retd) Bal Bahadur Singh and other retired Army personnel joined the party.
