This has reference to news item regarding deadline for replacment of electric transformers in UT after they turn out of order in hot summer.While the deadline for replacment of transformers in municipal area is welcome the deadline of 48 hours for the same work seems to be on higher side in rural areas of Jammu.
Villagers shall appreciate if the deadline in their case is also kept at par with those living in city areas.If however,the rural deadline is brought down to 12 hours only the villagers will welcome the same considering the present Covid pandemic atmosphere. With this the interruptions in power supply can be minimised in Rural areas also.
