JAMMU, June 5: The J&K United School Teachers Association has alleged violation of Government Transfer Policy and shifting of teachers on pick and choose basis for accommodating blue eyed at their choice.
Despite loud talks of transfer norms, the Directorate of School Education Jammu is affecting transfers by issuing single orders for accommodating their blue eyed at suitable places and discriminating with unprivileged section of teachers,” said USTA president Hari Singh while addressing a press conference, here today.
He further accused the Directorate of harassing the teachers, who raise their voice against whims of the authorities and their arbitrary orders of transfers.
He also expressed USTA’s grave concern over unprecedented delay in adjustment of teachers, who were promoted as Masters following DPC in 2014. “These promotees should be immediately adjusted as Masters and be given monetary benefit retrospectively from the date of DPC,” he said.
The USTA leader also highlighted other demands, which include; regularization of all ReT teachers, who have completed five years service, filling up vacant posts of teachers, Master, Lecturers etc, debarring teachers from non-academic duties, enhancing wages of un-regularized ReT teachers from Rs 3000 to Rs 15000 per month, starting pre-primary classes in all schools having Primary classes, release of pending liabilities of Mid Day Meal, etc.
The USTA general secretary Rajeev Kumar appealed the State Government to concede the demands at an earliest and threatened to resort agitation if the same is not done.
Others, who were present in the press conference, included Pardeep Singh, Dr Shashi Pal Singh, Roop Lal, Angat Singh, Raj Kumar, Sunil Thapa, S P Chouhan, Sajid Wani and Surinder Singh.
